On June 10 of this year the Chairman of the Georgian International Investors Association Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze visited the Governor of Trabzon Ismail Ustaoglu. During the meeting, the parties shared information about the challenges and problems during the pandemic, as well as discussing the need to create new jobs and the importance of implementing joint projects for both countries. The Chairman of the Association invited Mr. Ismail to Georgia.

On june9 of this year a working meeting was held between the chairman of the  International  Investors Association Of Georgia Osman chalishkan Mzhavanadze,  the chairman of Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry Suat Hacısalihoğlu and the members of the Board of Directors. During the meeting, the sides discussed the problem caused by the Kovid Pandemic, the importance of opening the land border between Turkey and Georgia, economic relations between the two countries, planning and implementation of new joint projects. Mr. Osman shared information with the participants of the meeting about the planning of a new airline in the direction of Tbilisi-Batumi-Trabzon / Trabzon-Tbilisi-Batumi, the participants of the meeting expressed their full support and thanked Mr. Osman for the visit. The Chairman of the Association, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Trabzon M. Suat Hajialioglu and members of the Board of Governors were invited to Georgia.

The meeting was attended by Levan Matsiashvili, CEO of Ak-Air Georgia and representatives of the hotel industry operating in Batumi. At the meeting, the parties discussed the current problems arising during the Covid Pandemic, stressed the need for new innovations and project planning, and discussed the need to schedule additional flights at the beginning of the tourist season, which will contribute to the development of tourism and medical tourism. In the near future, in accordance with all regulations and rules, a new flight will be scheduled to Trabzon-Tbilisi / Tbilisi-Trabzon. The Chairman of the International Investors Association of Georgia thanked the guests for an interesting and fruitful meeting.

On June 1, Irma Abkhazava, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Adjara Autonomous Republic paid a working visit to the International Investors Association of Georgia. During the meeting, the parties discussed the challenges in agriculture and the economy during the pandemic and the implementation of various projects and activities in the future. Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze Chairman of the Association, thanked Ms. Irma for her visit to the Association.

On June 1, Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze, Chairman of the International Investors Association of Georgia, visited the Tana Rehabilitation Center and congratulated the childrens  on the International Children's Day. Mr. Osman handed over sweets and household items to the children of Tana Rehabilitation Center. Ramaz Jincharadze, First Deputy Minister of Health and Social Affairs of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, and Nursen Ozlu, Deputy Consul General of the Republic of Turkey also congratulated the children on Children's Day.

On June 1, Osman Chalishkan Mjavanadze, Chairman of the International Investors Association of Georgia, held a working meeting with Ak-Air Georgia in an online format. During the meeting, the parties discussed the problems created by the pandemic and ways to solve them, the need to schedule a new flight in the direction of Tbilisi-Batumi-Trabzon / Trabzon-Batumi-Tbilisi due to the approaching summer tourism season and increase international flights.

28 May 2021,  Due to the circumstances caused by the pandemic, the 'Strong Diaspora for a United Georgia' forum was held online. The forum was attended by the Georgian Prime Minister, Speaker of the Parliament, head of foreign affairs, deputies, heads of diaspora organizations, schools and groups operating abroad, citizens working in various fields abroad, Georgian diplomatic representatives abroad, non-governmental organizations, academics, and businessmen. The official launch of the forum was followed by two panel meetings held in a row: (a) Economy and Business - Georgian Diaspora for the Development of the Country, (b) Education and Culture. The speakers in the thematic groups presented their vision and shared professional knowledge and experience with the forum participants. Thematic group members reviewed the needs and difficulties caused by the pandemic upon the diaspora organization to jointly develop effective recommendations for solving the existing problems. The forum was also attended by Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze, Chairman of the  International Investors Association of Georgia. Mr. Osman thanked the Government of Georgia, the organizers of the forum and all the participants for a fruitful and interesting meeting

On May 24th, the International Investors Association of Georgia together with member companies took part in the charity event "Hema 2012" Blood Bank "Share Life-Take Blood" Ltd. Representatives of Adjara Textile, BTM Textile, Batumi Textile, Georgian Textile, Price Track Textile, TAV Georgia, Hotel Wyndham, THY Turkish Airlines, Nurol Georgia, Ozurgeti Denim and Batumi Petroleum companies participated in the event "Give blood, share life" and donated blood voluntarily to save people's lives. During the corona virus pandemic, along with various problems, the number of blood donors decreased, we, together with member companies, want to make a small contribution to improving the health of our fellow citizens by donating blood. Together, we must take care of each other's lives and health, said the chairman of the association. Hema-2012 Blood Bank supplies blood components to Adjara, Guria, Poti and Tbilisi medical institutions.
