Today a meeting was held at the International Investors Association of Georgia to discuss the difficult situation created by the coronavirus from the pandemic and the issues of increased electricity tariffs. During the meeting, the parties noted that the recent increase in electricity bills poses a problem in terms of their activities. During the meeting Osman Çalışkan Mzavanadze said, "International Investors Association of Georgia is a bridge between foreign companies and the Georgian Government. The aim of our association is to attract new investments in Georgia with the Government. We will start negotiations with the Georgian government about the increased electricity tariff and continue the activities of the companies. Besides, we need to offer suitable investment conditions to foreign investors in order to make new investments in Georgia. when foreign investors plan to invest, there are many factors affecting them eg. tax system in the country they want to invest in, appropriate electricity tariff prices, qualified personnel etc. Human resources are very important, so we need to offer foreign investors favorable investment conditions to make new investments in Georgia. Representatives of textile companies attended the meeting, and the chairman of the Association attended the meeting online as he was in business meeting abroad. The chairman of the Investors Association thanked them for their visit.

Mr. Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze, Chairman of theInternational Investors Association of Georgia, paid an honorary visit to the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara  Mr. Giorgi Romanadze, and On behalf of the association wished her success. During the meeting, the sides discussed the current economic and global problems created by the pandemic in the world and Georgia, the deterioration of the business environment, the development of new strategies and the importance and need to attract new investments. Mr. Osman also briefed the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the activities of the Investors Association and member companies. Mr. Giorgi, Chairman of the the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, thanked Mr. Osman for their visit.

Nurol Georgia (Sheraton Batumi Hotel) Batumi Representative Mr. Lütfü Bilgin, TAV Georgia Batumi Representative Mr. Ali Özgür Pehlivan and Turkish Airlines (THY) Batumi Representative Mr. Özgür Ağca paid a visit to the International Investors Association of Georgia.  During the meeting, the parties discussed the global problems caused by the Corona virus pandemic and the sectors most affected by the Corona virus. They also discussed about the aviation industry challenges and the importance of restoring air traffic. The parties evaluated the impact of the Corona virus on international and local tourism. During the pandemic, "TAV Georgia" has continued to invest. "TAV Georgia" will invest 17 million dollars in the expansion project of Batumi International Airport. Infrastructure works of Batumi International Airport will be completed in 2021. After the expansion, Batumi International Airport will serve 1,200,000 passengers per year. Chairman of the International Investors Association of Georgia, Mr. Osman Çalışkan Mzhvanadze, thanked the visitors for visiting the association and holding the successful meeting. We hope that in the near future we will be able to defeat the virus and return to the normal rhythm of life. We wish you all good health.

Mr. Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze, Chairman of the International Investors Association of Georgia, visited the family of seven socially vulnerable Abashidzes in the village of Khutsubani, Kobuleti Municipality. He gave food supplies to the family and toys to the children. The biggest problem of the family  was that their children could not attend online classes because they did not have a phone and computer. Mr. Osman, gave them a tablet that  made the children very happy and will provide them with a good education. He will also  pay their internet service fee for 1 year. The Abashidze family thanked Chairman of the Georgian International Investors Association Mr. Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze for their visit and assistance.
