On June 15, the tourist season in Batumi was officially opened, various entertainment events are planned during the day. We wish you all a safe tourist season. Adjara is ready to receive tourists!

On June 15, in cooperation with the United Nations Association of Georgia, the State Agency for Employment Promotion, the Education Development and Employment Center and the Employment Agency of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara organized an employment forum in Batumi. Georgian International Investors Association also participated in the forum. On behalf of the association we would like to thank the organizers of the forum and wish success to each company and those interested in employment.

On June 14, the Chairman of theInternational Investors Association of Georgia Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze visited  The General Director of Trabzon International Airport, Isa Turkmen. During the meeting, they talked about the problems caused by the pandemic and ways to solve them, the importance of air traffic between the two countries and the details of planning a new flight to Tbilisi-Batumi-Trabzon / Trabzon-Batumi in the light of the pandemic. The Chairman of the Association thanked Mr. Isa for the warm welcome and invited him to Georgia.

On june10  of this year , Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze, Chairman of the International Investors Association,of Georgia visited Sezgin Mumcu, Chairman of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) in Trabzon, congratulated him on his appointment and wished him success. The sides discussed the problems created by the pandemic, the planning of joint events, the attraction of new investments, the opening of the Sarpi border crossing, and stressed the importance of planning a new flight Tbilisi-Batumi-Trabzon / Trabzon-Tbilisi-Batumi. Mr. Sezgin thanked Mr. Osman for the visit. The Chairman of the Association invited Mr. Sezgin to Georgia.

On June 10 of this year the Chairman of the Georgian International Investors Association Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze visited the Governor of Trabzon Ismail Ustaoglu. During the meeting, the parties shared information about the challenges and problems during the pandemic, as well as discussing the need to create new jobs and the importance of implementing joint projects for both countries. The Chairman of the Association invited Mr. Ismail to Georgia.

On june9 of this year a working meeting was held between the chairman of the  International  Investors Association Of Georgia Osman chalishkan Mzhavanadze,  the chairman of Trabzon Chamber of Commerce and Industry Suat Hacısalihoğlu and the members of the Board of Directors. During the meeting, the sides discussed the problem caused by the Kovid Pandemic, the importance of opening the land border between Turkey and Georgia, economic relations between the two countries, planning and implementation of new joint projects. Mr. Osman shared information with the participants of the meeting about the planning of a new airline in the direction of Tbilisi-Batumi-Trabzon / Trabzon-Tbilisi-Batumi, the participants of the meeting expressed their full support and thanked Mr. Osman for the visit. The Chairman of the Association, the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Trabzon M. Suat Hajialioglu and members of the Board of Governors were invited to Georgia.

The meeting was attended by Levan Matsiashvili, CEO of Ak-Air Georgia and representatives of the hotel industry operating in Batumi. At the meeting, the parties discussed the current problems arising during the Covid Pandemic, stressed the need for new innovations and project planning, and discussed the need to schedule additional flights at the beginning of the tourist season, which will contribute to the development of tourism and medical tourism. In the near future, in accordance with all regulations and rules, a new flight will be scheduled to Trabzon-Tbilisi / Tbilisi-Trabzon. The Chairman of the International Investors Association of Georgia thanked the guests for an interesting and fruitful meeting.
