During the meeting, the following issues were discussed - problems arising due to the pandemic, the importance of restoring air traffic, opening the Sarpi border gate, which is an important factor for the economy of both countries, attracting new investments, making new projects in the tourism sector, with the slogan '' two countries, one tourist '' , developing a common tourist route for both countries, ensuring that the tourists coming to Hopa also come to Batumi, and the tourists coming to Batumi also visit Hopa, and the parties exchanged information about the first international virtual construction fair to be held in Georgia.

The Chairman of theInternational Investors Association of Georgia paid a visit to   Mr. Cemal Bilgingulluoglu Owner of Ajara Textile and Honorary Chairman of the  International Investors Association of Georgia. During the meeting, the sides discussed the current problems caused by the pandemic in the world and in our country, discussed the importance of various environmental factors for attracting new investments, various obstacles for foreign investors to invest in Georgia and ways to solve them.  Also, the chairman of the association congratulated Mr. Jemal on the opening of a new factory "Kartli Textile" in Rustavi and wished him success in his future activities. Total amount of investment will be GEL 20 mln and at full capacity employee 4,000 individuals, with 90% of them being women. Kartli Textile is affiliate of “Adjara Textile”, which has been operating in Georgia since 2008 and is one of the biggest exporters. Their existing 3 factories, in Batumi, Poti and Bobokvati, already employees more than 3,500 people. Company produces and export about 15 mln units annually.

Mr. Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze, Chairman of the International Investors Association of Georgia, paid a visit to Mr. Sherafettin Ekici, Director of Turkish Airlines in Georgia. The sides discussed the global problems created by the pandemic in the world and in Georgia, the importance of restoring air traffic, both domestic and international flights, easing regulations and the need to create a safe environment for passengers. Mr. Sherfettin Ekiji also noted that flights from Istanbul to Batumi will be resumed from March 10.

Mr. Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze, Chairman of theInternational Investors Association of Georgia, paid a working visit to Mr. Osman Turan, Chairman of the Georgian and Turkish Businessmen's Association "GURTİAD". During the meeting, the sides discussed the economic problems in the background of the pandemic and ways to solve it, the problem of increased electricity tariffs, the importance of foreign investment in Georgia, improving the investment environment and important factors for attracting new investments.
