The new "Kartli Textile" factory was opened in Rustavi, Georgia. The factory currently employs 700 people, and 4,000 Georgian citizens will be employed next year. Investing and opening the new factory in a short time during the pandemic period and economic crisis are of great importance for the strengthening of our country and our region. Enterprise was incorporated with a Turkish investment and intends to employ 4 000 people from Rustavi and Gardabani. It is worth noting that 90% of employees are women. State has allocated a land with its constructions and buildings to the Georgian Textile for establishing a sewing factory with a symbolic price of 1 GEL. Company is a beneficiary of the state-supported program of Produce in Georgia. Investment of 20 MLN GEL has been made into the construction of the enterprise, out of which 10 MLN GEL is a loan obtained through the program of Produce in Georgia. Adjara Textile has been cooperating with world-known brands for years and has been inter alia commissioned by Nike, ADIDAS, Lotto, Erima, New Balance and Under Armour. All 100% of the company output is export-oriented and over 15 000 000 items are annually produced and exported. Suat Hacısalihoglu.
