The Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye (DEIK) Business Councils elections was held on Saturday, January 15, 2022 in Istanbul. Osman Chaliskan was elected as the chairman of the DEİK/Turkey-Georgia Business Council. DEiK its establishment in 1985, the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye (DEİK) was assigned with the following tasks: to organise and manage the foreign economic relations of the Turkish private sector, in particular with respect to foreign trade, international investments, services, contracting and logistics; to analyse investment opportunities at home and abroad; to help boost the country’s exports, and to coordinate similar business development activities. "Georgia and Turkey are two friendly countries that have close ties with each other. The commercial and economic relations between the two countries are developing gradually. Today, the number of foreign investors, including Turk investors, has increased in Georgia. DEİK plays an important role in the economic development of the two countries.We hope that together with the governments of the two countries, diplomatic representatives and member companies, we will be able to contribute to the Turkish-Georgian trade and economic activities in the future through various activities, "said Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze.

Acting Consul General of Iran, Mr. Ismail Tekiye Sadat paid an introductory visit to the International Investors Association of Georgia. The sides talked about the investment climate in Georgia, the importance of attracting new investments and planning various projects and events in the future. During the meeting, the Chairman of the Association Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze informed about the activities of the Association and its member companies and thanked them for visiting the Association.

On December 23, 2021, a meeting with foreign and local companies established in Georgia was organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey in Tbilisi. The meeting attended by the Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey Mustafa Tuzcu, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Georgia Fatma Ceren Yazgan, the chairmans of the Associations, diplomatic representatives and businessmen. The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of the Investors Association and member companies. At the end of the event, large importing companies were awarded. Also, a certificate of thanks was handed to the Chairman of the Association Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze for supporting those want to invest in Georgia.

On December 16, 2021, in the office of the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey  (DEIK) in Istanbul, an information meeting was held with the Representatives of " enterprise  in Georgia ". Enterprise in Georgia Representatives of the Agency held a presentation on the activities of the Investment Environment Agency of Georgia, current projects and future plans. Also, various directions of the country's investment potential were discussed during the meeting. The meeting was attended by Cemal Yangın, Chairman of Turkey-Georgia Business Council (DEIK), members of the Board, diplomatic representatives and businessmen. The mentioned meeting was attended by the Chairman of the Investors Association Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze. in June 2014 the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, together with the Ministry of Agriculture, launched a new government program “Produce in Georgia.” The program’s objective is to promote an entrepreneurial culture throughout the country by stimulating the establishment new enterprise and supporting the expansion of existing operations. Enterprise Georgia is the key implementing partner of “Produce in Georgia” and is responsible for business support, export promotion and investment in Georgia sectors.

On December 14, 2021, the Azerbaijan-Georgia-TurkeyBusiness Forum was was held in Baku, Azerbaijan  organized by the  Ministry of Trade of Turkey  and the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey  (DEIK). The forum was attended by the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Natia Turnava, the President of the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Giorgi Pertaia, the Minister of Trade of Turkey  Mehmet Mus, the Minister of Economy of Azerbaijan Mikhail Jabarov and international diplomatic representatives. Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze, Chairman of the International Investors Association of Geogia, also attended the Business Forum. The main goal of the business forum is to create new cooperation, contacts and business opportunities between the three countries.
