On June 15, 2022, a working meeting was held at the Turkish Embassy with Turkish Deputy Minister of Trade Rıza Tuna TURAGAY. The meeting was attended by government officials, chairmen of associations and businessmen. During the meeting, they talked about current issues, Türkiye-Georgia trade and economic relations, the Georgian investment environment, the queues at the Sarpi customs checkpoint and the problems of trailer drivers. Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze, The Chairman of the Türkiye -Georgia Business Council of DEIK and  International Investors Association Of  Georgia   spoke about current issues, problems at the Sarpi customs checkpoint and expressed hope that this meeting will be fruitful and will soon be eliminated.

During the meeting, the sides discussed economic relations between Turkey and Georgia, current issues in the country, Georgia's investment climate and support for increasing foreign investment. During the meeting, the sides discussed current issues on the agenda and the friendly and strategic relations between Türkiye and Georgia.
