Regular business forum Azerbaijan-Georgia-Turkey was held on 25 May, in Azerbaijani city of Gabala. The forum was attended by the Ministers and about 300 representatives of business circles of these countries. Georgian side the forum besides of the Minister of Economy Giorgi  Kvirikashvili, were attended by the 40 businessmen and the Secretary General of international investors  association of Georgia, Osman Chalishkan(Mjavanadze). He briefed the participants about the Investment and Tourism potential in Ajara through booklets. "The trilateral business forum is being held for the third time. We will discuss the prospects of expanding economic cooperation and relations," said in a statement. During the event, there were held presentations of the economies of the three countries, their business and investment opportunities. Also the parties held bilateral meetings. This year Georgia expects foreign direct investment of two billion dollars, mainly from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan and Russia. Note: The next business forum will be held in Georgia, Batumi in October of current year.

On 16 May, 2013 International Investors Association of Georgia was visited by the representatives of “Shirt by Shirt”. Investors were welcomed by Secretary General of IIA Mr. Osman Chalishkan. The meeting was introductory, during which became known about 1.500.000 US dollars investment. The project is about textile field and planned to build the textile factory in Kutaisi. There will be produced men’s shirts with following brand labels: “Zara”, “Max Spenser”, “H&M” and “Next”. There are going to be employed 800 people in the factory.  The textile factory construction will be started in the nearest future. The representatives of “Shirt by Shirt” were interested in legal issues, for which they received irrefragable answers.

Today International Investors Association has been visited by the 15 person delegation of Diyarbakır Development Agency, Turkey. The guests were welcomed by the Secretary General Mr. Osman Chalishkan.  Businessmen have been interested in several spheres to invest in Georgia: Construction, Agriculture, Processing industry and Tourism. It should be noted that at the meeting attended Head of the Investment Department of Government of Ajara A.R. Mr. Gemal Beridze and Advisor to the Head of Government of Ajara.A.R. Mr. Tariel Lebanidze. The meeting was introductory and participants talked about future Cooperation.
