The International Investors Association of Georgia was visited by the Lead Economist of “The World Bank South Caucasus Regional Office”, Mr. Rashmi Shankar together with other representatives. Mr. Rashmi is a Lead Economist of The World Bank South Caucasus Regional Office. The guests met the Secretary General of International Investors Association of Georgia. They talked about the Economic and Investment environment. The guests learned about the Association activities. They were mainly interested in development of textile business, existence of free economic zones in Georgia; the scale of the association members and how much business and investment fields depends on political changes. The representatives of the World Bank South Caucasus Regional Office expressed a great desire of collaboration.
On 27 February, 2013 International Investors Association of Georgia, visited the owner of “Ltd Becer Textile ” company, Mr. Adil Becer, invited by the Association itself. The Guest was welcomed by the Secretary General of International Investors Association, Mr. Osman Chalishkan. Mr. Adil Becer was interested in Investment circumstances and legal issues concerning with investment in Georgia. The textile factory will be existed in Guria, in the nearest future. The factory will have employed 150 local people. Turkish investor is occupied by the organizational and territorial issues at the time.
International Investors Association was visited by Consul General of Turkish republic Mr. Engin Arikan, in Batumi, on 21 February, 2013. The guests were received by the Chairman of the Association, Mr. Cemal Bilgingulluoglu. The aim of the meeting was the discussion of existing situation in business. They also talked about making new investments and cooperation.
