An agreement between the governments of Georgia and Turkey about crossing the border  with simplified ways  took effect on 10 December, 2011.Citizens of Georgia, who have new electronic, Georgian and English language ID cards of Georgian citizenship complying international standards, will be able to travel between Georgia and Turkey only by these ID cards. Turkish citizens can also across the border by using the same ID cards. Protocol “between Georgia and Turkey Republic governments about changes and amendments to visa agreement on April 4, 1996” provides free movements (without having visa) for Georgian citizens on the territory of Turkey during 90 days, in the case of having the following documents:

1. National Identity card (International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) with 9303 document and its attachment under the standards-New Identity Card, ID card).

2. Passport of Georgian citizen

3. Sailor book (performing their duties, the crew’s schedule or the statement of their existence)

4. The certificate of aircraft crew member (performing the duties; Absence of the general declaration or a light request. International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) with 9303 document and its attachment under the standards)

5. Travel card to return in Georgia

On December 16 of the current year, board of trustee gathered at International Investors Association of Georgia. The aim of the meeting was election of the board chairman. The board members elected new chairman Engin Altinsoy.

On December 9 of the current year, International Investors Association of Georgia was visited by the representatives of Ankara Businessmen and Industrialists Association “ANKISAD”, Turkey. The Secretary General of the Association Mr. Osman Chalishkan met the guests.The field of interest of 8 people delegation was introduction of the investment environment of Ajara region. The businessmen plan to implement the investment projects in the future.

On December 2 of the current year, board of governors gathered at International Investors Association. The reason of the meeting was election of chairman of association. The board members elected new chairman of association, Turkish businessman Jemal Bilgingulluoglu and deputy of chairman - regional representative of GPI Holding Nino Patsia.

On November 29 of the current year, International Investors Association of Georgia was visited by the president and CEO of  “Korston” Hotels and Malls Mr. Anatoliy Kuznetsov, chairman of textile industry and trade company ”ATK” Murat Turkmen and the representative of the textile company “M.A.S” Ulku Alkojlar. The Secretary General of association hosted the guests. On the meeting the representatives spoke about the activities of the association, the tourism potential of Georgia and they also discussed the existed problematic issues in the tourism sphere. They plan to construct two 5 Star hotels in Batumi in the future.
