On August 3, 2023, the Chairman of the Turkey-Georgia Business Council of DEIK and the Association of International Investors of Georgia, Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze st. He met with representatives of the medical field in Samsun. At the meeting, the parties talked about current issues, Georgia-Turkey relations, the importance of appointing a direct flight from Tbilisi-Samsuni to Samsuni-Tbilisi, and prospects for the development of medical tourism. The chairman of the DEIK Turkey-Georgia Business Council and the International Investors Association of Georgia emphasized that such meetings are important for deepening relations between the two countries in the economic and cultural spheres and for planning various joint activities in the future. At the end of the meeting, Mr. Osman thanked the guests for the organization and support of the said meeting.

On August 5-9, 2023, the annual meeting of the heads of Turkish diplomatic missions abroad, the "14th Conference of Ambassadors", will be held in Ankara, under the organization of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey. Within the framework of the 14th conference of ambassadors, a panel discussion was held on the topic: analysis of trade, economic and energy issues of the Republic of Turkey. Within the framework of the event, they discussed Turkey's trade and economic relations, current topical issues, the importance of increasing international partners and future plans. Representatives of the government and diplomatic corps of the Republic of Turkey, chairmen of associations and non-governmental organizations and businessmen attended the said conference.

On July 24-25, 2023, the 7th International Conference - "Georgia Against Counterfeiting and Piracy" was held in Batumi, organized by Sakpatent and the Commercial Law Development Program (CLDP) of the United States Department of Commerce. Conference participants discussed new trends in transnational illegal trade and modern methods of preventing digital piracy. Panel discussions were also held at the conference. The chairman of the Turkey-Georgia Business Council of DEIK and the International Investors Association of Georgia, Osman Chalishkan-Mzhananadze, took part in the panel discussion "Implementation of a successful partnership of the public and private sector in the field of the fight to prevent counterfeiting". He focused on public and private sector cooperation and the need to protect copyright. Mr. Osman thanked the organizers for organizing the conference and wished them success.

On July 27, 2023, a working meeting was held with the Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey, Sezai Ucharmak, at the Sarfi customs checkpoint on the Turkish side.At the meeting, the parties talked about Georgia-Turkey trade and economic relations, ways to eliminate queues at the Sarfi customs checkpoint and other current problems. Chairman of DEIK's Turkey-Georgia Business Council and International Investors Association of Georgia, Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze, drew attention to the problems related to queues at customs and insurance procedures. The meeting was attended by the head of the administration of the Sarfi customs checkpoint, members of the International Carriers (UND) and the Exporters Association of the Eastern Black Sea Region (DKİB).

Business representatives have already requested to the Airline Geosky to schedule and implement direct flights on directions: Tbilisi-Trabzon.Tbilisi-Samsun. Business meeting was held between the management of the Airline Geosky and the chairman of the Turkey-Georgia Business Council of  DEIK and International Investors Association of Georgia, Osman Chalishkan-Mzhavanadze and Volkan Kantarji, the chairman of TÜRSAB's Black Sea office, where was discussed future plans and cooperation. The appointment for flights on the Tbilisi-Trabzon-Tbilisi and Tbilisi-Samsun-Tbilisi  routes will contribute  development of tourism and medical tourism between the two countries and further strengthen economic relations.

The 4th international exhibition of medical tourism, technologies and equipment "ExpoMed Batumi" organized by the company "Expo Batumi" has ended. About 60 local and international medical institutions participated in the exhibition. The purpose of ExpoMed Batumi was to bring together representatives of the international and local medical fields in one space, in order to establish new contacts and future cooperation.
