The Chairman of theInternational Investors Association of Georgia, Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze, held an online meeting with the Executive Director of the Georgian Business Association, Mr. Levan Vepkhvadze. During the meeting, the sides discussed the current problems posed by the pandemic to companies, important factors for attracting investment in the country, such as qualified staff and increased tariffs, opening training courses that will facilitate the availability of qualified staff, as well as the impact of electricity tariffs on the company. The parties also agreed to sign a memorandum of understanding and talked about the implementation of various joint projects in the future. The Chairman of the Association thanked Mr. Levan for their fruitful meeting.

The Chairman of theInternational Investors Association of Georgia, Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze, visited the representative of TAV Georgia in Batumi, Mr. Ali Ozgur Pehlivan, and inspected the Batumi International Airport. During the meeting, the parties discussed the resumption of air traffic and flight schedules, discussed the current problems in aviation in the wake of the pandemic, and stressed the importance of expanding the Batumi International Airport. The ongoing works at Batumi International Airport will be completed soon, as a result of which Batumi Airport will be able to serve 1,200,000 passengers a year, which is important for the development of our country's economy. The Chairman of the Association congratulated the Batumi International Airport Administration and Georgia as a whole on this success. The Chairman of the International Investors Association of GeorgiaOsman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze paid a working visit to the Minister of Finance and Economy of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara Mr. Jaba Putkaradze. During the meeting, the sides discussed current problems in the economy, which arose as a result of restrictions imposed during the pandemic, as well as the role of increasing local production and the importance of attracting more foreign investment in Georgia. During the meeting, the Chairman of the Association briefed Mr. Jaba on the activities of the Investors Association and its member companies and invited him to join the Association in the near future. Mr. Jaba Putkaradze, Minister of Finance and Economy of Adjara Autonomous Republic thanked Mr. Osman for their visit.

The Chairman of the International Investors Association of Georgia Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze, held an online meeting with Davit Kochiashvili, an expert on legal issues at the Office of the Business Ombudsman of Georgia, and Giorgi Kervalishvili, a business analyst, regarding the increased electricity tariff. During the meeting, the parties discussed the impact of increased tariffs on textile companies. During the meeting, the parties noted how much the increased tariff has an impact on new investments in Georgia and also poses a great threat to textile companies to increase prices for manufactured products in the future. The parties discussed how and in what way it is possible to solve the problem related to the increase of electricity tariffs for textile companies. Ms. Nino, Acting Business Ombudsman of Georgia, was not able to attend the meeting due to her busy schedule, however, Mr. David noted that she would provide Ms. Nino with full information on the issues and decisions discussed at the online meeting. The chairman of the association noted that the increased electricity tariff threatens the entry of new investments in Georgia and the investment of foreign investors in Georgia.

Today a meeting was held at the International Investors Association of Georgia to discuss the difficult situation created by the coronavirus from the pandemic and the issues of increased electricity tariffs. During the meeting, the parties noted that the recent increase in electricity bills poses a problem in terms of their activities. During the meeting Osman Çalışkan Mzavanadze said, "International Investors Association of Georgia is a bridge between foreign companies and the Georgian Government. The aim of our association is to attract new investments in Georgia with the Government. We will start negotiations with the Georgian government about the increased electricity tariff and continue the activities of the companies. Besides, we need to offer suitable investment conditions to foreign investors in order to make new investments in Georgia. when foreign investors plan to invest, there are many factors affecting them eg. tax system in the country they want to invest in, appropriate electricity tariff prices, qualified personnel etc. Human resources are very important, so we need to offer foreign investors favorable investment conditions to make new investments in Georgia. Representatives of textile companies attended the meeting, and the chairman of the Association attended the meeting online as he was in business meeting abroad. The chairman of the Investors Association thanked them for their visit.

Mr. Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze, Chairman of theInternational Investors Association of Georgia, paid an honorary visit to the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara  Mr. Giorgi Romanadze, and On behalf of the association wished her success. During the meeting, the sides discussed the current economic and global problems created by the pandemic in the world and Georgia, the deterioration of the business environment, the development of new strategies and the importance and need to attract new investments. Mr. Osman also briefed the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry on the activities of the Investors Association and member companies. Mr. Giorgi, Chairman of the the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, thanked Mr. Osman for their visit.
