On 22 June 2017, ICC Georgia held its General Assembly at Holiday Inn Tbilisi to elect two Board members and one Second Vice-Chairman Treasurer for a period of one year. Mr. Fady Asly- Chairman of ICC Georgia welcomed the attendees and presented a synopsis and a brief overview of ICC Georgia's achievements for the past two years. 3 candidates were running for the two vacant positions on the Board. Following the vote, the three elected candidates are: Ms. Nona Mamulashvili (Philip Morris Georgia) Second Vice-Chairman/Treasurer, Mr. Tamaz Turmanidze ( Adjara Chamber of Commerce & Industry) and EX-Officio board member Mr. Osman Chalishkan-Mzhavanadze Secretary General of the International Investors Association of Georgia and Director of ICC Ajara. ICC Georgia is the largest and most vocal global Business Association in the country; it includes over 350 corporate and youth members and 28 business associations. The International Chamber of Commerce is the largest business organization in the world that includes over 6.5 million businesses and chambers of commerce. ICC consults regularly at the global level with the G8, G20, the World Bank, WTO, WCO and the UN.
On 8 June, 2017 International Investors Association of Georgia, visited the representative of “ Baykanlar ” company, from Turkey Republic. The Guest was welcomed by the Secretary General of International Investors Association, Mr. Osman Chalishkan. The company representative was interested in Investment circumstances and legal issues concerning with investment in Georgia especially in Ajara region in Textile sphere. The textile factory will be existed in Ajara Region in the nearest future. The factory will have employed 500 local people. Turkish investor is occupied by the organizational and territorial issues at the time.
