On 17though of September, 2016. The Secretary General of International Investors Association of Georgia Osman Chalishkan met with the US Ambassador to Georgia Mr. Ian Kelly. The sides talked about economic and Business spheres on the introductory meeting. They have discussed plans of future cooperation. On the meeting was discussed various important cases, like: Quota, FTA legal base, Georgian Tax and Labor Codes, issues related to the refinement of the tax administration. Secretary General of IIA provided all the information about IIA and its member companies to the US Ambassador to Georgia Mr. Ian Kelly. Also several issues were discussed at the introductory meeting. At the end of the meeting the sides have exchanged the gifts and expressed that fruitful business cooperation with the Association and U.S. Embassy will continue in the future.

International Investors Association of Georgia was visited the head of  the Caspian Sea Shipping Company Mr. Ali Akbar Ghonji. The Businessman hosted by the Director of Association member company - BTM Textile Mr, Kenan Agirbash. The introductory meeting was focused on economic and investment environment of the region, particularly business sphere in Georgia, they also spoke about further partnership. The head of the Caspian Sea Shipping Company Mr. Ali Akbar Ghonji expressed a desire to cooperate with the Georgian company. ” 150 large ships are at the disposal in our company. 30 large companies are united in the Holding. we are implementing  all kind of shipments besides air shipment. Our goal is to operate the oil storage system in Batumi. I would be glad if it will be implemented with the cooperation of Georgian companies” - stated the head of the Caspian Sea Shipping Company Mr. Ali Akbar Ghonji. The Director of BTM Textile Mr. Kenan Agirbash provided all the information about IIA and its member companies to Iranian Businessman.

On 1st of September, 2016. The Secretary General of International Investors Association Of Georgia  Osman Chalishkan met with the Chairman of the Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association - “MUSIAD GEORGIA” - Mr. Mustafa OKUTAN. The sides talked about economic, Agriculture, trade and tourism spheres at the meeting. They have discussed plans of future cooperation in Business sphere. On the meeting was discussed various important cases, like: FTA legal base, Georgian Tax and Labor Codes, financial and economic results of its execution; issues related to the refinement of the tax administration. Secretary General of IIA provided all the information about IIA and its member companies to the Chairman of “Musiad Georgia” . Also several issues were discussed at the meeting. At the end of the meeting the sides have exchanged the gifts and expressed that fruitful business cooperation with the Associations will continue in the future.

"Competence centers for the development of cruise tourism in the Black Sea region" –In the frames of the European Union project, coordination meetings began in Batumi. EU, Ukraine and Georgia universities, professors, students, public and private agencies working in the field of tourism, exchange accumulated experience with each other in this field. In the field of the common interests in education of the Batumi Maritime Academy and Cruise tourism development, Chairman of the Ajara Tourism Department, the Guides Association and the International Investors Association of Georgia signed a memorandum. The memorandum was signed by the deputy Rector of Batumi Maritime Academy Abdul Kakhidze, the director of Guides Association of Ajara Teona Zoidze, the Deputy Chief of the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Ajara Sopho Lazishvili and the Secretary General of International Investors Association of Georgia Osman Mzhavanadze. The aim of the memorandum is to promote the development of tourism and to implement joint educational projects.
