On July 27, 2023, a working meeting was held with the Deputy Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey, Sezai Ucharmak, at the Sarfi customs checkpoint on the Turkish side.At the meeting, the parties talked about Georgia-Turkey trade and economic relations, ways to eliminate queues at the Sarfi customs checkpoint and other current problems. Chairman of DEIK's Turkey-Georgia Business Council and International Investors Association of Georgia, Osman Chalishkan Mzhavanadze, drew attention to the problems related to queues at customs and insurance procedures. The meeting was attended by the head of the administration of the Sarfi customs checkpoint, members of the International Carriers (UND) and the Exporters Association of the Eastern Black Sea Region (DKİB).
