He congratulated him on his appointment and wished him success. At the meeting, the parties discussed current issues, Türkiye -Georgia trade relations and opportunities to increase air traffic.

In Istanbul, the members of the Georgian delegation met with the representatives of the Turkey-Georgia Business Council, a member of the "Council of Foreign Economic Relations" (DEIK) of Türkiye. On October 11, 2022, meeting held between the deputy economy minister Mariam Kvrivishvili and representatives from Pegasus Airlines and Turkish Airlines. Pegasus Airlines, a Türkiye-based budget airline, is set to launch flights between the Turkish capital of Ankara to the Georgian capital of Tbilisi starting November 2, the Georgian economy minister announced on Wednesday. The ministry announced the meeting had discussed possibilities of direct flights between Georgia and Türkiye during all four seasons. It said the sides had “expressed readiness” to continue operations to the Black Sea city of Batumi in winter with five flights per week, which it said would “further contribute to the growth of tourist flows to Adjara" region. Both airline companies are considering launching flights to Georgia's western Kutaisi international airport as well.

On October 11, 2022, The first meeting of the bilateral working group of Turkey-Georgia cooperation in the field of tourism was held in Istanbul. Within the framework of the meeting, the parties discussed the potential of Turkey-Georgia tourism and the possibility of development of tourism products. The conversation also touched upon the planning of various training and tourist events and the prospects of future cooperation. Georgian Embassy in Türkiye was involved in and co-organized the meeting.

The 3rd International Exhibition of Medical Tourism, Technology, and Equipment, ExpoMed Batumi, organized by the international exhibition company "GEONET EXPO," opened in Batumi. The opening of the exhibition was attended by the government, ministers, representatives of the diplomatic corps, chairmen of associations, and businessmen. The exhibition presents medical equipment and instruments, disposable items, diagnostic equipment, preventive and post-diagnostic therapies, IT systems, orthopedics, physiotherapy/rehabilitation, etc. The exhibition features both local and international medical and rehabilitation institutions. Simultaneously, an international medical conference and B2B meetings are being held. As well as the blood donation campaign "Donate blood, save a life." The purpose of the ExpoMed Batumi exhibition is to popularize the activities of representatives of the international and local medical fields, establish new contacts, and further cooperation.
