Successful businessmen of the year were awarded  At the conference hall of Sheraton hotel in Batumi. The winners were revealed in 8 nominations. Guests were welcomed by the Chairman of Ajara AR Government Archil Khabadze, and rewarded firms which implemented successful investment projects in 2014. Successful companies, various fields of businessmen, successful people  in tourism and hotel activities, exporters and investors, business associations and transport companies  were awarded at the ceremony.  International Investors Association of Georgia and its seven member companies from different fields of activity has been awarded by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Ajara as one of the most successful business entity of the year 2014, these companies are: “Ajara Textile”, “BTM Textile”,  “ Batumi Textile”, “Ajara Enerji”,  LTD “Brothers “, “GIMG”, Mersin Tourism (Leo Grand) and Sistem Insaat (Porta Tower) . "These businessmen are operating in Ajara and they are contributing the growth of employment and the budget growth. This awarding is the motivation that the business has to do and continue hard work in the Future. I think that this awarding ceremony is a welcoming fact and it should be allowed a traditional character that to recover the attitude toward the business from the government, It should be also noted that we have a budget increase. For the last 2 years, the revenue has increased by 45 million. This means that the business develops, employment is growing and the contribution of the business is very large. On 16^th of March, 2015, At the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Ajara was held the meeting. The head of Batumi Tourism Agency Sofo Lazishvili hosted Tour operators from Turkey, the main topics of this meeting was the problems in the tourism sphere. Turns in Sarpi and low quality service- Turkish tour operators names these problems as reason of reduction of tourists flow to Batumi. Under initiative of Georgian tour operators and Ajara Tourism Department, special service according to which group of tourist will be able to pass the border without turns is created. Georgian and Turkish tour operators have exchanged with their experience in improve of the service. They are visiting Batumi under invitation of Ajara Tourism Department. The meeting was also attended Secretary General of International Investors Association of Georgia and Customs Attaché Ozai Kutlu.
