Days of Ajara was held in Wroclaw Print

Official delegation of Ajara AR Government led by the Chairman Archil Khabadze paid an official visit to Wroclaw, Poland on February 25-29. The main purpose of the meeting was to sign a memorandum of cooperation between the Lower Silesia and Ajara AR Government. Cooperation with various regions of Poland has been managed successfully for a long time. Economic Forum ‘Wroclaw-Batumi 2016’ was held in order to promote cooperation between Polish and Georgian business circles. Department of Tourism and Resorts of Ajara was involved in tourism fair in Wroclaw for the first time. The fair was opened by Marshal of Lower Silesia Caesar pshibilsky and the Chairman of Ajara AR Government Archil Khabadze. The days of Adjara were held in an exhibition space, in which ensembles of ‘Batumi’ and ‘Khorumi’ participated. It should be noted that the City of Wroclaw was named as the European Capital of Culture in 2016 which further increases the importance and the ability of collaboration between Wroclaw-Batumi. Cooperation has been already planned between Batumi Drama Theatre and Theatre of Wroclaw - Legnitsa. The rector of Batumi Shota Rustaveli State University met senior officials of Wroclaw Higher Bank School. Chairman of Ajara AR Government Archil Khabadze and the Marshal of Lower Silesia Caesar pshibilsky held a Joint Press Conference at the Wroclaw Business Center in the frames of an official visit. Heads of two regions talked about the cooperation recently started between two regions and planned events. Marshal of the Lower Silesia expressed his satisfaction towards the launch of multilateral relations. ‘I am pleased that the relationship between us started in tourism, economy, education and culture directions,’ – he said. ‘I am pleased that the Days of Ajara are being held in the historic town of Poland. Program is really amazing. We participate in the tourism fair of Wroclaw for the first time. We hold this kind of a business forum in an UN member country for the first time as well. Cooperation between our universities and theatres has been already launched. Memorandum of cooperation will be officially signed during these days. Visit is really very varied and interesting. I believe it will also be fruitful,’ – Chairman of Ajara AR Government said. The Press conference was also attended by the Georgian Ambassador to Poland Nikoloz Nikolaishvili. The forum participant got further information about Ajara’s investment opportunities from the specially prepared presentation by the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Ajara , where they also talked about International Investors Association of Georgia and its member companies.
