Georgia-Turkey Trade and Investment Bridge-a two-day business forum was opened on June 15 at Holiday Inn hotel. The event was attended by around 100 representatives from Georgian and Turkish business sectors, also by International Investors Association. Dimitri Gvindadze, the Minister of Finance of Georgia and Levent Murat Burhan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to Georgia, delivered opening speeches. Kakha Baindurashvili, the President of Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GCCI), attended the forum.The aim of the Trade and Investment Bridge business forum was to provide a venue for Turkish and Georgian business representatives to network with professionals from specific industry sectors and identify potential partners from both countries as well as learn about the business and investment environments.The first day of the forum was focused on presentations and B2B discussions, and the second day covered site visits with potential partners, and additional discussions.Representatives from the agriculture and food processing, construction materials, consulting, tourism and hospitality, ICT, packaging and transport & logistics sectors participated in the Trade and Investment Bridge business forum. Companies benefited from a series of B2B meetings.Georgia-Turkey Trade and Investment Bridge business forum was supported by the UNDP Black Sea Trade and InvestmentPromotion programme in cooperation with the Georgian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the USAID Economic Prosperity Initiative (EPI), and the Confederation of Businessmen and Industrialists of Turkey (TUSKON).
