International University Hospital Batumi accepted the first patient in February 1, 2016. The total area of the hospital is 10.500square meter. The hospital is calculated for 103 patients and has more than 400 employees.  The medical contingent consists of Georgian and Foreigner professional staff as well. They have been given opportunity to improve their professional skills by using the newest technologies and provide timely and qualified support to the patients. The hospital med-staff are continuously trained and get introduced with medical innovations.   "I am very glad that today we have the opportunity to open the hospital, which is another example of partnership, brotherhood and friendship between Georgia and Turkey. This International University Hospital will enable students from Georgia and neighboring countries to obtain the highest quality education. As a young man I had an opportunity to study at Tbilisi State Medical Institute - since I obtained my first degree in medicine. Hence, I envy the people who will be able to study at such a medical school, "- the Prime Minister noted in his speech. Giorgi Kvirikashvili thanked Cardiologist Ismet Mikeladze - Turkish citizen, for his work in the hospital. The hospital "IUHB" is equipped with modern technology of the highest quality that will ensure conducting of accurate diagnostics and high quality outpatient and residential treatment. Adding of oncology practice is also intended in the near future. Investment in an amount of 25 million GEL was provided for the construction of the hospital. The IUHB is one of the first medical institutions in Georgia, where the institute of advocate of patient's rights was introduced. The health-care sphere is unique, which needs continuous investment. We’d like to add several directions according to the local market requirements to IUHB including Oncology direction. Our aim remains unchanged-the most modern standards in medical service, high class service and recruitment of intellectual workforce. We’d like to reduce intellectual outflows, as Georgian youth will not have to search a job in Europe and USA.  We believe that, we will increase the health quality of the people with whom we have been living for years. The representatives of the Hospital stated.  During the opening ceremony one-minute silence was observed to commemorate the victims of the explosion in Turkey few days ago.
