Batumi hosted first international investment forum. The event was held in the Sheraton hotel. Participants of the “Invest in Batumi-2014” are ( Czech Republic, Ukraine, Turkey, Holland, Spain, Hungary, Belarus) the government of Ajara, Georgian National investment Agency, foreign investors, foreign and local companies operating in Georgia, commerce and industry chambers, business associations media and others. The presentations are carried out by Georgian National Investment Agency, the Agency for Enterprise Development, the Ministry of Finance and Economy and the companies which are operating in the region.Also the International Investors Association of Georgia presented the activity of IIA and its member companies. The Region’s Investment climate and privatization projects were introduced to the Foreign and local Key businessmen. The forum were attended Chairman of the Government Archil Khabadze, Ministry of Finances and Economics David Baladze, Ministry of  Labour, Health and Social Care Nugzar Surmanidze, Ministry of Education,Culture and Sport Giorgi Tavamaishvili,  Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Ketevan Bochorishili,  the Georgian National Investment Agency Giorgi Pertaia,  the Chairman of the Supreme Council  Avtandil Beridze, and  the Mayor of Batumi Giorgi Ermakovi.  The meeting was also attended the chairman of the association Mr. Jemal Bilgingulluoglu and the Secretary General Mr. Osman Chalishkan and the representatives of the member companies of IIA. International Investment Forum “Invest In Batumi 2014 “ was held in the region for the first time. International Investment Forum will get annual Character and will be held next year.

On 29 August, 2014 the International Investors Association of Georgia was visited by the Consul General of Turkish Republic in Batumi Mr. Engin Arikan. Engin Arikan held farewell meeting with the chairman of the association Mr. Jemal Bilgingulluoglu and the Secretary General Mr. Osman Chalishkan, The meeting was also attended the representatives of the member companies of IIA, Diplomat has informed about expiring of his authority and has thanked in for active cooperation to the representatives of International Investors Association. Engin Arikan will officially finish his diplomatic activity in Batumi on August 31.  He will continue his work in the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ankara. It is known that he will be replaced by Turkish diplomat Yasin Temiskan. New Consul general will start his work from September 15. At the end of the meeting Jemal Bilgingulluoglu and Engin Arikan have exchanged with gifts and expressed that they will continue their business cooperation in the future.

On 4^th of August, 2014 held charitable dinner in support of children who suffer from leukemia, the sum from the evening transferred to Dito Tsintsadze’s charity foundation. Famous Turkish actor Murat Yildirim was among the guests. The actor arrived to Georgia under invitation of Dito Tsintsadze’s charity foundation. He cooperates with the foundation for the second time. The actor will participate in the social clip which is shooting by director Giorgi Ovashvili and already treated children will also participate in the clip. The charity dinner were also attended by the representatives of the member companies of International Investors Association who made contribution for children who suffer from leukemia.
